Your Save The Date

Sets the tone for your wedding. Your prenuptial photo session is a chance to practice everything we're going to get to do on your wedding day so let's talk about what you should and should NOT wear for the hour long snuggle session.

Jeans + Sweaters

While fall is a very popular time to get your engagement photos done, reaching for your favorite cozy sweater and broken-in jeans may not be the tone you want to set for your save the date. The first image people see that represents your wedding, or the images you're going to use on your wedding website should start the vibes of what your big day is going to be about. If you're going for "we met in college and want to bring back our co-ed days" sure, represent the Alma Mater. However, if you're hoping to have a black tie affair, with a high end plated meal and expect your guests to dress accordingly - dress up for your e-session.

Elevated You

I really do want to capture "you" and all of your quirks and inside jokes as a couple, but we can work together to find something that is elevated. What is your favorite date night outfit? That's a great place to start, the clothes you would wear to impress your partner and show up as the best version yourself.

Now, if you're looking for a reason to treat yourself I can also help direct you to outfits that will make you feel like a character in a rom-com! If you don't want to purchase something you can use sites like Rent the Runway or Nova Octo for a scene stealing, one time use gown.

Practice Makes...

Part of the purpose of doing a session prior to your wedding is to practice all of the things we're going to do on wedding day. This is the reason I strongly suggest wearing something similar to what you're going to wear on wedding day. If you're wearing a gown, practice in something with a long skirt. Sun dresses and evening wear with the same silhouette are a great idea for practicing using the skirt for dramatic images, and helping your partner work with something similar for twirls, dips and dancing! (It doesn't have to be white, try color while you can!)

As always you can reach out to me for style advice. Sometimes the setting of our session calls for more drama, or more representative style! I will always be happy to cooperate to get to a great result!!
